How it works
The Excel to PDF converter transforms .xlsx spreadsheet files into PDF documents โ preserving cell content, basic formatting, and multi-sheet structure. Each sheet becomes a page (or multiple pages if the sheet is large). Use it to create read-only reports, shareable data summaries, or print-ready versions of spreadsheets without Excel.

How to use it: upload a .xlsx file. The tool parses the spreadsheet and renders it to PDF. Multi-sheet workbooks include all sheets unless you select specific sheets to include. Download the PDF.
Formatting support: cell values, basic number formatting (date, currency, percentage), bold and italic text, merged cells, and basic borders. Complex features like conditional formatting gradients, embedded charts, sparklines, and custom cell styles may not render perfectly โ this tool is optimized for tabular data, not chart-heavy financial models.
Page fit: wide spreadsheets are automatically scaled to fit the selected page width (A4 or Letter). Very wide or tall sheets may require landscape orientation โ toggle orientation in the settings.
Privacy: Excel parsing and PDF rendering run in the browser. Your spreadsheet data is never uploaded.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Enable 'Fit to page width' in the settings. This scales the spreadsheet content down proportionally so all columns fit on a single page width. For very wide sheets, use landscape orientation as well. Alternatively, select which columns to include before converting.
- Yes. A sheet selector appears for multi-sheet workbooks. Choose a specific sheet, multiple sheets, or all sheets. Each selected sheet becomes a separate page group in the PDF.
- Embedded charts (chart objects within a worksheet) are rendered as static images in the PDF. The chart visuals are preserved but the data interactivity is not. Complex 3D charts may render differently from their Excel appearance.
- ##### appears in Excel when a column is too narrow to display the cell value. In the source .xlsx, those cells are showing ### already. The PDF conversion renders them as-is. Widen the columns in Excel before exporting, or enable auto-fit column width in the PDF conversion settings.
