How it works
The PDF Page Deleter removes specific pages from a PDF and saves the result as a clean document without the deleted pages. Use it to remove blank pages, irrelevant appendices, duplicate covers, or confidential sections before sharing a document.
Every PDF has at least one page you eventually need to remove: the blank back page from a scan, the internal cover page before emailing externally, the watermarked version page included by the PDF creation software, or the repeated headers that should only appear on the first page. This tool handles all of these.
How to use it: upload your PDF. Page thumbnails are displayed. Click the pages you want to delete (they highlight in red). Use Ctrl/Cmd+A to select all, then Ctrl/Cmd+Click to deselect the ones you want to keep — or use "Select Blank Pages" to automatically find and select pages with little visible content. Click Delete Selected and Download.
Blank page detection: the tool analyzes each page's content stream — pages with no visible text or graphics are flagged as likely blank. Review them in the thumbnail view before deleting.
Output: the result is a renumbered PDF with the deleted pages removed. Page numbers in the file's internal structure are updated. Bookmarks pointing to deleted pages are also removed.
Privacy: page deletion runs in the browser using pdf-lib. Your PDF is never uploaded.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Yes. Before downloading, you can restore deleted pages by clicking the Undo button or clicking the individual page thumbnail to deselect it. Once you click Download, the deletion is permanent in the downloaded file — your original file on your device is unchanged.
- The blank page detector analyzes each page's content stream — pages with no visible text operators and no image XObjects are flagged as blank. It also flags pages where content is too sparse (less than 50 characters on a full-page area). Review flagged pages in the thumbnail view before deleting.
- The internal PDF page numbering is renumbered sequentially from 1. If the PDF has visible printed page numbers in the content (not just internal numbering), those are not changed — they remain as they were in the original. Use the Add Page Numbers tool to add new visible page numbers after deleting.
- No. Decrypt the PDF first using the Remove PDF Password tool, then delete pages.
