Privacy Policy

1. What is covered

This policy covers the eBay Power Suite Chrome extension (version 2.0.0). It sits alongside the site-wide privacy policy.

2. Data we collect

None. We do not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal or usage data, and we operate no server that receives your input.

This extension does use the network, unlike the others here. It fetches eBay's own public pages for research and hourly price tracking. If you switch on the AI listing writer it calls the provider whose API key you supplied, directly from your browser, and if you configure a webhook it posts alerts to the URL you chose. Nothing is proxied through a server we run, and no data is sent to us.

3. What is stored on your device

So the tool remembers your setup between visits, the following is saved locally, via Chrome's extension storage:

• Your settings, seller blocklists and hidden listings
• Your price-research cache and tracked-listing list
• Your download, research and AI history, and any API key or webhook URL you enter

If Chrome Sync is switched on, Chrome may sync the extension's settings across your own devices under your Google account. That is handled by Google under your Chrome settings and never reaches us. Clearing your browser data, or removing the extension, deletes everything listed above.

4. What the extension reads

• Publicly visible listing data on the eBay pages you browse: prices, postage, sold counts, seller feedback and gallery media
• Product details on a Walmart, Target or Home Depot product page when you use the sourcing comparison there

This reading happens inside your browser, only on the page you are looking at, and only to produce the result shown on screen. Nothing read from a page is sent to us, and nothing is kept beyond what section 3 lists.

5. Permissions and why they exist

• storage — Saves your settings, blocklists, price-research cache, tracked listings and download history locally.
• contextMenus — Adds right-click options to search eBay, or eBay sold listings, for selected text.
• alarms — Schedules the hourly check of your tracked listings so alerts fire even when the popup is closed.
• notifications — Shows a desktop notification when a tracked listing changes price or ends, per your own alert settings.
• downloads — Saves listing images, videos and CSV or JSON exports you ask for to your Downloads folder.
• scripting — Runs the in-page research and listing tools on eBay's own pages.
• host access to eBay marketplaces — The tools run on eBay's search, listing and purchase-history pages across ebay.co.uk, ebay.com, ebay.de, ebay.com.au, ebay.ca, ebay.fr, ebay.it and ebay.es, reading publicly visible listing data.
• host access to Walmart, Target and Home Depot product pages — Compares a product you are sourcing against those retailers' public product pages. Nothing is read unless you are on such a page.
• host access to api.anthropic.com and api.openai.com — Contacted only if you switch on the AI listing writer and supply your own API key, so the request goes straight from your browser to your chosen provider.

Site access is limited to:

• eBay search, listing and purchase-history pages on ebay.co.uk, ebay.com, ebay.de, ebay.com.au, ebay.ca, ebay.fr, ebay.it and ebay.es
• Walmart, Target and Home Depot product pages, for sourcing comparisons

6. What we do not do

• No analytics, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or advertising
• No accounts, sign-in or email collection
• No selling or sharing of data, because there is no data to sell
• No sending the pages or numbers you work on to us — we never receive them
• No remote code: the extension ships all of its code inside the package

7. Children

This is a general-purpose tool for people running a business or a website. It is not directed at children, and it collects no personal information from anyone.

8. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above changes with it, and the change is noted in the updates list on the tool page.
