Scrollshot — capture a whole page, then redact it before it hits your disk
Scrolls the page for you, captures it viewport by viewport and stitches the slices into one seamless image — then opens an editor so you can crop, annotate and blur before saving.

How Scrollshot captures a long page
Chrome can already screenshot what is on screen. The gap is everything below the fold: a page that scrolls for ten screens needs ten captures stitched together, with the sticky header removed from nine of them. Scrollshot walks the page from top to bottom, grabbing one viewport at a time and composing the slices onto a single canvas at your display's real pixel density.
Fixed and sticky elements are neutralised before the scroll starts, so a floating nav bar is not stamped across every slice. A configurable pause after each step lets lazy images and infinite-scroll sections load before the shutter fires. When the page body itself does not scroll but a pane inside it does — dashboards, mail clients, document apps — it captures that scroller rather than the empty shell around it.
The capture opens in a full editor instead of dropping straight into your Downloads folder, which is the order that keeps private things private: redact first, save second. Ten tools sit on single keys — crop, rectangle, ellipse, arrow, freehand, highlighter, text, blur and redact. Blur softens a region with adjustable strength; redact paints it out completely, because a softened password is still a password.
Everything runs on your machine. The extension makes no network requests at all, which you can verify by disconnecting from the internet and watching every feature keep working.
Preguntas frecuentes
How do I screenshot an entire web page in Chrome?
Install Scrollshot, then press your keyboard shortcut or click the toolbar icon on the page you want. It scrolls the page for you, captures each viewport and stitches the result into one image, which opens in the editor ready to crop or redact.
Does it work on very long pages?
Up to 300 viewport slices per capture, which is tens of thousands of pixels tall in practice. Progress is reported slice by slice, so you can see how far along a long capture is.
Why do my captures have the header repeated?
That is what happens when a sticky nav bar is captured in every slice. Scrollshot detects fixed and sticky elements and neutralises them before the scroll begins, then restores the page afterwards, so the header appears once at the top where it belongs.
Can I blur something out before saving?
Yes, and that is the point of opening the editor first. Blur softens a region with adjustable strength, and redact paints it out entirely. Neither is reversible in the saved file, and the original capture never reaches your disk unedited unless you save it that way.
Are my screenshots uploaded anywhere?
No. The extension makes no network requests of any kind. A capture is composed in your browser's memory, held briefly in local storage while the editor opens, and written to your Downloads folder by Chrome itself. Leftover temporary captures are pruned every 30 minutes.
Which browsers does it work in?
Chrome 109 and later, and the Chromium browsers built on it — Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi and Arc.
