Photo Collage Maker

Create photo collages from multiple images. Free online collage maker — grid layout. No signup, 100% private, all processing in your browser.

How it works

The Photo Collage Maker arranges multiple uploaded images into a grid layout and exports the result as a single combined image. Choose from preset grid templates (2×2, 3×2, 1+2, 1+3, magazine layout, etc.) or create a custom arrangement. All collage assembly runs in your browser.

Photo collages are used for social media posts (before/after pairs, event recaps, product comparisons), family photo books, real estate listings showing multiple rooms, school year-in-review presentations, and recipe blogs showing ingredients alongside the finished dish.

How to use it: upload 2–12 images. Select a grid template or drag to customize the layout. The template automatically crops each image to fit its cell using a center-fit crop (maintaining aspect ratio, cropping excess). Double-click any cell to reposition the crop within that cell. Set the gap between cells (0 = seamless, 4–16px = gridded), corner radius, and background color for gaps. Download as JPG or PNG.

Templates: 2-column equal (Instagram two-post preview), 3-column equal (Instagram three-post strip), 1 large + 2 small, 1 large + 3 small, 2 large side by side, and several magazine-style asymmetric layouts.

Cell adjustment: once images are placed, click any cell to crop-position the image within that cell — drag to pan and use the zoom slider to fill the cell differently than the default center-fit.

Output dimensions: set the total output width (1080px for Instagram, 1200px for blog) and the collage scales all cells proportionally.

Privacy: all image loading and canvas compositing runs in your browser. Images are never uploaded.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum number of images I can combine in one collage?
The tool supports up to 12 images per collage. Templates with more than 12 cells are not available — for larger collections, create multiple collages and combine them using the merge feature or output them as a series.
How do I reposition the image inside a cell?
Double-click any cell to enter crop-position mode. The image appears with pan and zoom controls — drag to reposition the image within the cell's fixed frame. Use the scroll wheel or pinch to zoom in or out within the cell. Click Done to confirm the crop position.
What output dimensions should I use for Instagram?
For Instagram feed posts: 1080×1080px (square, 1:1) for standard grid posts. For a two-image side-by-side landscape: 1080×566px. For a 2×2 grid (4 images): 1080×1080px. These dimensions fit Instagram's recommended upload specifications.
Can I add text or captions to individual cells?
Cell captions are not currently supported in the collage maker — it is optimized for image-only layouts. Use the Text Watermarker tool after downloading the collage to add text overlays.
